Hedland Well Women’s Centre (HWWC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation, offering free health promotion, prevention and clinical services to positively improve the health and wellbeing of women and their families in the Hedland community. Our objectives are to deliver health promotion activities and programs that increase awareness of and improve the ability of women to have control over both mental and physical disease that impact on their health.
Pilbara Minerals Limited (PLS) are partnering with the Hedland Well Women’s Centre to support free mental health services, through continued counselling and psychology appointments made available to the women of Port Hedland. PLS’ support will see us offering face-to-face sessions, with a range of complimentary allied telehealth appointments appropriate to mental health support. All psychology appointments are available in person for women at no charge.
With the need for these crucial services continuing to rise each year, we are committed to seeing this work continue to provide better lives for the women in our community.
