FREE WOMEN'S MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Our Mental Health Support service is available for women aged 16 and upwards experiencing any of life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationships, workplace issues and isolation. 

We believe in the potential of every person to heal, grow and develop a sense of ownership over the decisions in their lives.  Having an opportunity to talk to someone trained to help untangle complicated situations and feelings can make a difference.

If you would like to make an appointment, please book online below, or call us on 9140 1124 Monday – Thursday between 9am – 4pm or Friday 9am – 3pm. Outside of these hours, please leave us a voice mail and we will contact you as soon as we can.

Appointments are currently being offered via Telehealth. If you would like to utilise our iPad and a private room at the Centre, please call us ahead of time to book a space.

Meet our Mental Health Support Team

Simmy Knott – Social Worker

Simmy is a compassionate and experienced counsellor, dedicated to supporting individuals to manage their life challenges. Her background and passion are in social work and counselling.

Simmy is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and her experience, provides tailored support to address a range of needs.

Therapeutically she uses trauma informed principles together with strengths-based solution focused opportunities and the Internal Family Systems model to support a safe space for exploration and healing.

With a special focus on women’s health and wellbeing, she is experienced working with people facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, substance dependency and many more of life’s challenges.

Simmy is a mother and joyful grandmother and having lived in the Pilbara for 10 years, Simmy understands the unique challenges that can come from living in a remote area and is committed to providing a supportive environment for its residents.

Emma O’Loughlin – Social Worker 

Emma has two decades of experience in the social work field and is dedicated to empowering individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Emma is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and has honed her skills through various roles, providing tailored support to address a range of needs. 

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and authenticity. By integrating trauma-informed principles with narrative and strength-based theory, she strives to create a safe space for exploration and healing. With a special focus on women’s health and wellbeing, she offers support in areas such as infertility, perinatal anxiety, adjusting to parenthood, parenting neurodiverse children, grief and loss and supporting survivors of family domestic violence.

Having lived in the Pilbara for 15 years and as a mother of four children, Emma understands the unique challenges of the region and is committed to providing a supportive environment for its residents.
