HEDLAND WELL WOMEN’S CENTRE 2023 PINK PILBARA BREAKFAST
For over 16 years, the Hedland Well Women’s Centre (HWWC) has hosted a community fundraising event in support of cancer. After identifying a growing need for further support and assistance on the ground in Hedland, the HWWC introduced an inhouse Cancer Support Service in October 2020.
Through the generosity of the Hedland and Pilbara community, over $90 000 was raised at last years breakfast and spent directly to support this critical service.
The HWWC is committed to seeing this work continue to provide better lives for the women in our region. This year, all money raised from sponsorships, donations and other fundraising efforts will support two primary purposes:
- Continuation of the Hedland Well Women’s Centre Cancer Support Service.
- New and existing services, events and programs that actively aim to prevent women’s cancers including lifesaving screening and health checks.
The need for these crucial services continues to rise each year and as we transition to a sustainable funding model, we invite you to join us to uplift and empower the Port Hedland community.
