Centre
Hedland Well Women’s Centre (HWWC) located in South Hedland WA, is a not-for-profit organisation for women living and working in the Hedland area.
We provide health promotion, prevention and treatment services in the area of women’s health. Our Centre operates under the values of a social model of health addressing inequities for women.
Services include women’s clinic, counselling, preventative health and wellbeing programs, social and community events, support groups and advocacy.
Current Vacancies
Cancer Support Officer
We are seeking a Cancer Support Officer to join our team.
If you’re an enthusiastic, driven and compassionate individual with a heart for supporting those impacted by cancer, we would love to hear from you! This role works with clients, providing support and advocacy to increase access to suitable services for cancer support.
Key responsibilities include:
- One-on-one client support and advocacy
- Stakeholder engagement and partnerships
- Innovative ideas to develop client centred cancer support services.
Personal experience as a survivor or carer is favourable, but not required. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Community Services or similar field, or two years working within the community sector with direct client support. This role is part time with flexible options available.
