Appointments are now available for a new, women’s GP telehealth service, specialising in female sexual and reproductive health.
Accessing consistent, specialist healthcare can be an obstacle when living in regional WA. Which is why the Hedland Well Women’s Centre has partnered with Luma for Her Health and Wellbeing and BHP to deliver a groundbreaking female GP telehealth service, improving the access to high-quality healthcare for women living or working in Hedland and surrounding communities.
The service will bridge the gap in women’s health, helping with a variety of concerns including contraception, STI testing, hormone issues, endometriosis, PCOS, fertility, menstrual concerns, sexual health and wellbeing, perimenopause and menopause.
The process will include a free, pre-screening appointment in-person with the Hedland Well Women’s Centre Nurse to assess for eligibility. Followed by a telehealth appointment together with the GP and nurse. The team will then work together to deliver follow-up care and results to the client. Appointments will be affordable and at a reduced-cost with Medicare rebates available, thanks to the support of the partnership with BHP.
